Oriental Rug Care Recommendations
Vacuuming
Oriental, Persian, Navajo, and Custom rugs need weekly vacuuming to clean and restore life to the fibers. If
not removed soil becomes abrasive, scratching and damaging the rug fibers. Over time heavy soil levels will ruin your valuable
rugs. Be careful with the fringes, though.
To avoid damaging them, use a suction-only vacuum. Never use rotating brushes or beater bars on fringes.
Pad
A quality, custom-cut pad will cushion your rug and help keep it in place, thereby extending the life
of the rug. For rugs that receive very little
foot traffic a pad may not be necessary.
Rotation
To minimize wear and tear on the rug and fringe, rotate your rug regularly, perhaps every six months. Rugs
in lightly used locations can be rotated once a year to help you to keep your rugs looking beautiful for years to
come.
Stain Removal
Spills happen, but they need to be removed quickly and safely. Using our free
spotteryou can easily prevent any spills from becoming permanent damage. Pet stains usually require a heavy duty cleaning to ensure
